1. For the very first question is it acceptable to leave it as 9/20 as it is a probability?
2. Paper 2 not 1

No because probability is a decimal or percentage, not fraction

Will there be a unofficial mark scheme like the one for the first paper? With the question, answer and number of marks.
Depends if someone leaks the paper on youtube

I think its acceptable.
6. (Original post by Billston)
Any marks for the questions
I definitely remember that the last one was bloody 6 marks

Hi I'm going to start and unofficial markscheme so add your answersReps are not necessary but would be appreciated It would be really useful if you could remember the question numbers
1. Order numbers correctly and include a key
b) 9/20=0.45
2a. 5a*2b*3c =30abcb.
Factorise fully 3y +6 =3(y+2)
c. Expand x(x-3)=x^2-3x
3.x=9.25
4. Smallest packet was best value for money because it was cheapest per bag of crisps
5. 4 times as many red than green: There were 0.4 blue and 0.15 yellow.0.4+0.15+4x+x=10.55+5x=15 x=0.45x=0.094x=0.36Green- 0.09 Red- 0.36
6a. 20.3
b. 68.04kg
c. 2.61m
7. 3.8
8a. 4:3
b. 480 pixels
9.x= 124 degrees
10. 7.92
11.£42.29
12. x=144 degrees
13.-2 -1 0 1 2-1 3 1 -1 3Draw curve
14. 3 Bars
15. No, because 7766.22 was greater than 7500 pounds
16. 128g
b.11g
17. 30.1
18. 10a^5b^4
b. y= 5p^2-x
19.11 males
20. x= 0.29 or x= -2.29
21. 29.25
22. F.d- 1.6, 3.2, 2.4, 1.8, 0.3
23.28.9
24a. -1/3x+4
b. 2x/(x+1)(x-1)
25. 80.4
I think:
Q2a was 1mark
Q2b 1mark
Q2c 1mark or 2 mark?
Q3 I believe was 3 but could be 4
Q4 was 4mark
Q5 was 2mark(?)
Q6 a b and c I think were 2 each so 6?
Q7 4or5marks
Q8 a and b both equated to 4 marks?
Q13 a was 3 marks I believe
b was 2 marks
Q14 at least 4 marks
Q15 5marks(?)
Q16 a was 1 mark
b was 2 marks
Q18 a 1 mark
b 3marks
Q19 was 2 marks
Q24 a 2 marks
b was 3 marks
Q25 5 marks?

As you can see I am unsure about many so PLEASE correct me and fill the blanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
8. I did foundation does anyone know Mark scheme?
9. Will I get marks for my Quadratic Equation if the answer was wrong but I substituted correctly?
10. (Original post by Roquebrune2014)
No because probability is a decimal or percentage, not fraction

Really? I thought probability was fraction by default
11. (Original post by Roquebrune2014)

This is true but a fraction is correct too because when we are given probability questions with tree diagrams they are usually in the form of fractions

Yeah you'll definitely get some method marks for a correct substitution
13. I got the same as you did... using the same method but people at my school got a range from 40.0, 45 47,5 and going all the way up to 80.0 and 80.2... Don't know what the right answer was though
14. Can you put the amount of marks each question is worth please
15. (Original post by 11tan)
For the very first question is it acceptable to leave it as 9/20 as it is a probability?
Yes I am sure you can as that is right
16. You know the curve that we had to draw . Was it a cubic curve?

If they want is to 1 dp then you have to test halfway between the two 1dp values (so 3.75) to know whether 3.8 is closer or 3.7 so you would have lost at least 1 mark
Wait a sec, x^3 - 5x = 34

3.7^3 - 5(3.7) = 32.153
34 - 32.153 = 1.847
So 3.7 is 1.847 away.

3.8^3 - 5(3.8) = 35.872
35.872 - 34 = 1.872
So 3.8 is 1.872 away.

This shows 3.8 being 0.025 further away than 3.7. 3.7 is closer. These are cubed numbers so even though you could round up from 3.75, the number gap changes as the numbers get bigger, so you count just assume to round up. They only care about 1d.p. numbers, using 3.75 doesnt matter. You have to find which 1d.p. is closer, and its 3.7.

80.4
or 80.1 we are having a school debate, you couldd say a maths debate
You get 80.1 if you didn't store all the decimals and 80.4 if you did.
I think:
Q2a was 1mark
Q2b 1mark
Q2c 1mark or 2 mark?
Q3 I believe was 3 but could be 4
Q4 was 4mark
Q5 was 2mark(?)
Q6 a b and c I think were 2 each so 6?
Q7 4or5marks
Q8 a and b both equated to 4 marks?
Q13 a was 3 marks I believe
b was 2 marks
Q14 at least 4 marks
Q15 5marks(?)
Q16 a was 1 mark
b was 2 marks
Q18 a 1 mark
b 3marks
Q19 was 2 marks
Q24 a 2 marks
b was 3 marks
Q25 5 marks?

As you can see I am unsure about many so PLEASE correct me and fill the blanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
25 was 6 marks
