how is being a communist dirty?

Just look at all the communist countries that have ever existed. I don't think you'd want to live in any of them

they weren't bloody communist you idiot. they were state capitalist and none of them have claimed to be communist you 'lazy ****' to use your own words

ahhh anohter capitalist who tries to defend his disgusting class

I am not trying to defend the other person as his comments were ignorant and disrespectful but how does going to a grammar school automatically mean someone is in a certain class or is a capitalist?

grammar schools exist for the middle class who can pay for their education to be supported by the state. all the people i know who went to grammar schools had private tuition, which cost a ridiculous amount of money, only something the middle class could afford. likewise, anyone who goes to a private school or a grammar school does not care about the working class, or poor people in general

Umm I think you have problems. Several states declared themselves communist and my family had the unfortunate experience of living in one https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_state

Please don't make assumptions about people you don't know or generalise about a whole group of people. I go to a private school and have been since I was in year 7 that doesn't mean I don't care about others. I don't have private tuition or anything either.

I haven't paid anything to get into my school actually and grammar schools exist as an opportunity for deprived people to become a success

which states, hmm? the soviet union under lenin to its decomposition declared itself 'socialist' not 'communist'

furthermore, if you have a quarter of a brain, you would know communism is the following:

-stateless
-classless
-propertyless
-moneyless

china, ussr, cuba, etc

none of these places have been that

stfu

you use your family's financial privilege to better yourself above others. you are richer than 94% of the country's population, if you care for others you would strive for equality, but you don't

that's not true, all evidence suggests that the people in grammar schools are staunchly middle class

Yeah so communist is a failed ideology basically; take your bs elsewhere

the only time that the vast majority of children in a selective system see a grammar school is when they walk past it on their way to a secondary modern."He contended that grammar schools have historically been very successful in educating the elite, but in a modern economy that isn't good enough. Today an education system is needed that seeks to bring all children to the maximum of which they are capable. He added that grammar schools were a barrier to children from low-income families, as the provision of school meals prove that there are far fewer children from poorer backgrounds attending grammar schools.

I say I go to a private school that doesn't automatically mean my family is rich, my brother goes to a state school. There you go again, making assumptions about people you don't know. I have a scholarship if I didn't I wouldn't go there.

Like you've done anything to strive for equality; you don't even know this person

i was offered a full scholarship (my family is very poor) to a private school and i declined it because i knew it was unfair of me to accept it. still richer than 94% of the population. you don't care about equality, you're so happy to jump on an opportunity to better yourself above others

Perhaps you do do all of that stuff and that is very good for you to do, but what is unfair is that you assumed that I as well as other people who go to private or grammar schools don't do those things. Again another assumption you are making.
