Looking back through history, isolationistic thinking has never been the best option.
Besides, we aren't pursuing isolation. Remainers seem to act like we're suggesting declaring ourselves no longer part of Europe and building a wall across the channel. Nobody is saying that. We love Europe. We love the European states. We want to cooperate with them and build a brighter future for Europe - but we don't want to have our laws made by them.
When we leave, we'll go on trading and cooperating with Europe, just as every other country in the world does.
