Debate 2

The statement:

"Religion oppresses one's mind"

Tips
Clearly state in your first sentence if you are against or for the statement
•Justify your reasoning or someone will easily weaken your argument
•If you can make sure you have something to back you up. If you can't, make sure your justification is convincing enough. For example, you can't just be like 'Religion oppresses one's mind because it just is ygm bruv'- This example is awful but at least make sure it is better than this.
•Don't generalise
•I'm not playing but if I see good arguments or any arguments in fact(I'm a loner you see) then I'll counter your argument
•Try not to hurt people's feelings. Do not take these arguments to heart as this is a democratic(sadly, I wish we lived in a communist country) country and website therefore we are allow to express our views.
•If you lost the argument, don't try to swear to get back to the person who thrashed you. This only makes you look worse than you actually are.

Instructions
Have an argument that's it really

Good luck! May the odds be ever in your favour. Act like this debate is like the virtual Hunger Games. Don't be like President Snow be like courageous, thoughtful fictional characters like Katniss and Peeta
