Just looking for some opinions. Which is the better course? Which is the better university?

    Hello Dan

I just thought I would drop a bit of information for you about our Computer Science degree. Our course is a traditional computing degree programme with a successful history dating back more than 45 years. It provides you with a common foundation with other technical computing degree courses.

Few key points about the course:
    • 96% graduate employabilityin work or further study within six months of completing this course, earning an average salary of £21,000*
    • Graduates with successful global careersworking for companies such as ITN, Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, Microsoft, BT, RBS, HSBC, Leicestershire County Cricket Club and Experian
    • Accredited by the BCS - The Chartered Institute for ITthe first step to achieving the industry-recognised Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status; an industry-recognised qualification, which can improve your career prospects
    • Dedicated work Placements
    • Enhance your practical and professional skills, with recent placements undertaken at Syngenta, Jagex Ltd, PepsiCo UK and Ireland, Honda Racing and Avis Europe plc.
    • Industry-standard facilitiesProviding 80 computer workstations for students to use. The space is divided into 4 interconnected laboratories each with 20 machines high-specification PCs running Windows/Linux
    • Enjoy an international experience with #DMUglobalWe offer all students the opportunity to take part in a #DMUglobal experience, which can enrich your studies and expand your cultural horizons.
Our campus is centralised and located in the city centre, which means the campus is in close proximity to shopping centres, accommodation as well as Leicester train station for travel. It depends upon the environment of the university that you prefer, some have several campus areas spread across the city as well as accommodation areas, others have them all centralised and in close proximity. It is definitely worth looking in to, and if you ever need to have a chat with anyone from DMU about the course or uni life, you can contact us here or give us a call/email and we would be happy to help.
