My coursework involves choosing a topic that covers a 100 year period does anyone have any ideas that i could use? i was thinking maybe murders but how would i use historiography in that?

Has your teacher not given you a guideline?

Think of something you enjoy. You can find historiography for almost everything though it's worth noting that topics that involve events such as WWII or anything to do with the British Empire (essentially 'big events') will most likely be easiest to research.

Definitely ask your teacher(s) what they specialise in. There's no point in doing your coursework on Mao Zedong if your teacher knows nothing about him.

100 years of irish history is quite commonly studied!
