Placement year
So my placement year is worth 10% of my degree and its split between two things one is an essay and the other study marks since I did a study placement and both is split 50%/50% I got 62 in one of them I was wondering how much I need from the other to get a 2:1 overall for the year.

Assuming a 2:1 is 60% (which can change 1-3% depending on the difficulty) you need 58%, as (62%+58%)/2 = 60%.
I really hope your degree isn't in Maths.
