You'll meet representatives from unis and can ask questions. If you have questions then this can be useful, but if you've already read the prospectus you might not need to ask anything. They won't be able to answer specific questions about non -standard entry qualifications or whether you'll get an offer.

You might see new unis you hadn't heard or thought of.

You'll get prospectuses and things to take home and look at.

They used to give away stress balls at one time. Now mainly tote bags. It's an afternoon off school, usually with the school's blessing, so it has that going for it.

sweeties were always my go to stand. Faking an interest for free sweets.

There was a phase of USB sticks too at one point but that seems to be dying off now. :moon:

Get in early and talk to people on the stands for the good freebees

Yes, I remember the USB stick phase. Also, lots of rulers for some reason.

Art schools love to give out pencils and sketch books

I like to imagine Harper Adams give out free wellies and medical/nursing schools give out antibacterial handwash :ninjagirl:

I got a green welly desk tidy from the Royal Agricultural College! When my artistic sprog went to the Ucas exhibition, I think he came home empty handed. I suspect he just bunked off. That'll teach him - he could have saved himself some money by going.

Worth attending my university runs one for the local area, met the universities, we run seminars on a range of areas, we have live music and food available at ours and also a lot of the staff working the event are students at the uni, so plenty of chances to ask about student life and the uni.
