Slingbox vs KCL internet firewall??????

I am a Canuck and want to install a Slingbox at home and bring my laptop with Slingbox software to KCL dorm like SSA etc?
Does the KCL firewall (if any) stop me watching my Canadian TV(home cable)?
Or there is not much firewall at KCL Broadband?

Has anybody used Slingbox at KCL dorms?????
