Hey guys. Im currently sitting my A2 exams and have a few questions.
A bit of back ground information. I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa in December of 2014 and as a result did not spend the rest of my AS year at school, i still took all my exams though. This year ive been well enough to come back to school but i feel like my anxiety has been much worse.
Ive had 3 exams so far, 1 to go, and ive experienced huge waves of anxiety in all of them. Heart palpitations, sweating, shortness of breath (i felt faint in one particularone due to this). Ive also found it difficult to start the exams, as my anxiety is worse at the start and the end. These times are reallt challenging because my hand shakes so much that it makes it difficult to write. Ive suffered from panic attack in the past.
I recieve treatment for my eating disorder at a unit fortnightly, who are aware of my low mood and anxiety. We did speak about medication to help treat it, but a meeting was not arranged with the doctor at the clicic quick enough to diagnose and prescribe.
Im due to have a review in a week or two, oncluding the doctor at the clinic. Do you think that if i were to be prescribed medication i would be able to consider special consideration, as my anxiety really influenced my exam performance?
Would it be too late to apply at the start of July/after i have been diagnosed/prescribed medication?
Thanks guys ♡
