What was the workings to questions 5e thanks
9/50 babies were under 3kg > 18%

However her model predicted 25.46% under 3kg, as worked out in 5d

Arsey where are you?
Edexcel got mad and told him not to saying he couldn't make any more unofficial MS because of copyright and teachers using the papers for mocks. Wish he could verify our solutions or something to give us something concrete
I swear 6b was like 176.336 or something? If the mean was 200 minutes how can the fastest 20% be P(X<206) like you got? Surely P(X<206) would be >0.5
The mean was NOT 200 minutes.

Rebecca and Sarah question.
I still can't get my head around of this question!!

What about the cases where S gets a positive number and R get a negative number???

You have only considered the positive cases???

Maybe I did not read the question properly...

Feel free to correct or give answers to non numerical questions
6a) did you take away from 1 when you get value after using mean standvation

Only one I'm posting!

(And you can faintly see my wrong answer rubbed out - the same error you made! When will I learn to read the question properly?)

Holly SH*****T!!!!

I understand this totally! So if this is correct, then I interpreted the question wrong....

The question was soooooooo badly phrased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, how was 5d worked out

This should explain it, particularly the top row and top right section:
Attachment 550581

I see exactly what you were doing. But the question was phrased badly in a way I thought R and S can have different X values.

11. (Original post by Berny1998)
Thanks, how was 5d worked out
It was a normal distribution with mean 3.43 and a standard deviation I can't quite remember - sorry! But standardising (3-3.43)/s.d. gave a z value with p(Z<z) of 0.2546
12. (Original post by sharmonraja)
I got that too, why is thatt wrong though?
13. What ums are u likely to get for 64/75?
14. hi guys can someone reply to this with the QUESTION PAPER if you have it cheers.
ALSO
what do you think grade boundaires will be?
A = 62
B=55
C=48
D=40??
or what
15. Rebecca and Sarah answers are wrng its 0.465 and 0.4..sthng
16. For 6b, I worked out the top 20% as the 20% with the longest times (I'm an idiot) because I misread the question. Do you think I'll lose all three marks or scrape one for doing the right method, just with the wrong values? I need all the marks I can get tbh
17. (Original post by Katieramsay)
Yeah apparently we read the question wrong, but still hoping we got it right and everyone else is wrong 😂😂
Same here...
18. Does anyone know what the first normal distribution questions was. The one about the baby weight p(W<3 )
20. how many marks was the model one? about it being appropriate?
