It's thundering and lightning where I am right now, and I love thunderstorms!

There was a really heavy storm here yesterday. Rain, then hail and lightning/thunder, some of the brightest/loudest I've seen. I find it oddly relaxing :lol:

I don't mind them when I am inside but they terrify me when I am out in them :colondollar:

Thunder freaks me out more than lightning. I prefer a heavy rain shower to a storm :h:
Not since I learned that lightening can go through windows :afraid:

I love rain and all but I have a love-hate relationship with thunderstorms. They do tend to scare me..

I don't like being out in them much either, I like watching them out of the window! I just find the thunder and lightning so powerful and cool! :biggrin:
I love them. If I lived in the country I would definitely go for a stroll in the woods while the storm was going on.

I went surfing in a thunderstorm once. Didn't last long. Very quickly escorted off the beach..

My old flat in Brighton was on a hill looking over the sea - it had magnificent views of lightening storms coming in, right in front of my bedroom. It was dramatic and wonderful.

Then I learned about the lightening goes through glass thing and it was terrifying. :hide:

Oh yeah, and the reason you shouldn't stand under a tree in a thunderstorm is because if it gets hit by lightening it will explode and seriously injure you.

That would be very unfortunate! Lightning strikes don't always kill people though, so that's positive I guess!
No, my dog is terrified of them. Every time she hears thunder she won't go out for walks for 2-3 days after it. Same happens with bonfire night, last year she literally didn't want to go out for walks for around two weeks.

Thunderstorms are magnificent!!!
I remember me and a friend casually walking to lesson in the middle of one in school once. Everyone else was going mad and running as fast as they could!
We were just having a casual convo about lampposts (continuation from the day before).
That was fun!

Yes they are! But I just get a bit scared because of the sound especially when they are really loud!
