Today a vehicle had executed a unusual Hit and Run on my road and had damaged up to 9 vehicles, leading to one pregnant driver is severe shock. I wasn't there at that time, but I am suspicious that a family member's car may has got hit as I noticed a large scratch near the front which if facing the road. I could ask the police about the incident but I don't know if they will disclose anything and just tell me to write a statement. I would prefer just knowing what had happened and then determine if the suspicious damage was actually linked to the accident. I wanted to know where the runner came from and which vehicles were damaged. That way I can determine if this incident was linked to the event that took place today.

Do the police have to disclose information under the Freedom Of Information Act? If so, what are they obliged to disclose?

I would also like to get more details about this information so that I can disclose this information to my local MP, my road is notorious when it comes to road related incidents such as; Hit & runs, car theft and uninsured vehicles being parked for long period of time.

Any guidance will be much appreciated!

    good luck
