I do not understand! Thank you in advance.
The concentration of water is greater on the inside than on the outside of the plant and therefore osmosis occurs from the inside to the outside because it travels along a concentration gradient. This causes the plant to gain water which causes turgor pressure where the cell contents of the plant are pushed against the inelastic cell wall which causes it to become upright and trap the fly.
