OK, so I just wanted to ask a question in regards to renting out a property and I couldn't find the right topic of choice here.

But my dad has a housing rent business and has left some belongings in the attic which is now gone. Is there anything my dad can do about it? I realise he didn't state anything about the belonging up there to the tenants, but now they've got rid of it. But does he still have the rights to go after them?

He can make a deduction on their deposit for missing or stolen belongings that are property of the landlord. They should've asked before throwing things out that don't belong to them.
