See you guys on the 21st!

2. Nice paper more or less. I slipped up on 2b, with the pulley. No idea what I was meant to do. Got some random answer though so hopefully got method marks.

Other than that it was a decent paper
3. Nice paper overall, messed up on Q.3 and not sure if my final answers for a couple of questions were correct but hopefully got the method marks.
4. Thought it was one if the easiest papers in recent years tbh, better than June 15 for sure

Agreed. I did June 15 as revision and did rubbish compared to June 14. One thing I have to say about wjec this year is that they've made the exams nicer than last years, which is great
6. Cany anyone remember what they had for the final c.om of the lamina Q9?

For 7.a) you had to take into account the vertical force of the rope, which was inclined at 10 degrees from the inclined plane to find R as well as the downward force times U, which then had a subsequent impact on 7.b)

(I had Fr=19.something and a=1.60)

You got it too! hardly anyone coming out of the exam at my school realised :/
That question may be the /only/ one that reduces grade boundaries slightly. (still higher than year tho lol)

Yeah there was an identical question almost in the edexcel m1 which was sat not long ago. (it was virtually copy and paste. Even the 10 degrees from the plane was the same i think!) Luckily I did that paper and a few of the solomon papers (a difficult version of edexcel).

They snuck in that similar shapes lamina question similar to 2007 too. I got from AC as 6cm and from AB to be 4.5 for the mass hanging on the hypotenuse (might be vice versa)

I say 72 maybe 73 for full ums.

yeah i'd completely agree on that ums.

I looked for a while, seeing if i needed to find the length of the line or some fancy stuff, and then just realised D was the centre of the rectangle
I didn't do any other exam boards papers, even tho that's the best revision and would have certainly helped with C3 and 4

Very clever. I didn't think of it like that lol. Must mean that my measurements were correct however then.

I'm pretty sure the four out of ten will be B1 B1 B1 B1 for filling in the table completely correctly, so whether you spotted it to be the same as the centre of the rectangle or used some other fancy method like similar shapes then it wouldn't matter

It's then M1 (moments) A1 (correct equation) A1 (correct answer only) (x2) for the last six marks I would think
