Hi, I'm 17 and I've recently applied to the University Of Manchester to study Nursing (Child). (Hertfordshire is my insurance)
I was just wondering if there were any current nursing students that could take the time to explain their day to day lives as a student nurse. ((Especially in first year)
(Adult, Child and Mental Health Nurses are all welcome to share their information, as well as Midwifery Students also)
This includes: If they think they have just as well as great social life, in comparison to other people.
Their Timetable, eg. how much time in lectures on average they spend, as well as placements.
Social life in terms of meeting people in lectures, placements, accommodation, societies etc.
(Did you even have time to join societies in first year?)
And in general if you thought nursing was actually what you thought it would be prior to uni.
Even if you have any regrets or want to name a few disadvantages about nursing. Please feel free to say.
And if you could name where in fact you study, (The University). That would be great. If not, don't worry
Anything you have to say about your nursing degree is welcome. Please be honest and hold nothing back.
I'm curious to know what in fact i'm getting myself into, And i'm sure a lot of prospective student nurses are just as curious.
So please... tell us about your uni experience....
CURRENT NURSING STUDENTS, Please tell us about your first year in Uni.
