    On what basis? The UK has a veto on it. Are you really suggesting that if we stay, the UK could wave Turkey through with open arms? You are aware what happened when Maggie introduced the poll tax. Allowing Turkey into the EU amidst the current climate would be political suicide for governments left, right and centre across the EU. It will not happen.

    The technocrats don't run the EU and they certainly don't get the final vote. Our elected MEPs are the ones who ratify any moves to allow Turkey in, but they won't get a vote because it won't even get that far. It just won't. Sorry.
    you ask on what basis? History,they've been doing it for the last 15 years.How come they would stop now? The UK didn't veto Poland,Romania,Bulgaria,Croatia, Hungary and the others. It's clear the EU will include also Turkey. They want to shape a new Europe and new societies. Do we want the same?
