maths help,

i got an average of 53 in second year, ****ed it i know! socialised and did too many societies and stuff, my head wasn't in the books, Second year being 30% of the degree - 70 percent for third year, 120 credits, (40 - credits dissertation) 40 - specialised subject, 40 - modules - trying to get to a 2:1 which i heard is an average of 58 ( but trying to gun for an average of 60 obc) - can someone tell me if it's possible and what average do i need, feel it'll motivate me - cheers

Assuming you need an average of 58 across the two years, 53 average for 70% of the credit means you need 69.666666... average for the final 30%, so basically 70.

Sorry, misread it!

So for the final 70% you need an average of 60.14.
