Basically I want to apply for pharmacy or biomedical science this year but currently my GCSE grades aren't the best (a mixture of I couldn't be bothered at the time, and I screwed about a bit at school), 4 Bs 3 Cs. Also because of a screw up by my teacher at the time I wasn't entered for GCSE science at secondary so instead of doing the wrong A levels for me I ended up doing a Level 3 Extended diploma which has given me 420 almost worthless UCAS points as the subject is not useful for entry into either degree.
I have until the middle of January next year to make myself seem great to universities. I am about to take a HE access in science which should give me the right qualification for either course at some universities, but my real question is what else can I do to boost my chances?
Side note-I have had work experience in a path lab and have worked part time in a pharmacy for almost 4 years.
How to appeal to admissions officers?
