i am a 1 year medical student, i entered MD course with a MPharm degree. previously graduated as a pharmacist. seeing that the working hours have changed and the salary is not that great im feeling like i made a bad choice going to medical school, even if i love the subject. I honestly have no problems studying the material i find it facinating however seeing how junior doctors are treated i feel bad to see the state this profession has ended.

I was a pharmacist and for the hours i worked i had a descent salary (approx 25 000 euros)

I am extremely confused and have no idea what to do. I love medicine more than pharmacy but is it worth wasting my youth to work 80+ hrs a week and kill your social life .

    i need your help guys....

I think you have to think long term and look at the hours and pay of GPs and consultants, not focus on junior doctors.

And whether or not you actually fancy the job of being a GP or consultant. I think being a doctor is better paid and much more interesting.
