Unsure whether I've chosen the right uni course

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I think I've chosen the completely wrong course to study at uni. At the time, social work was my passion and I could really see myself in that working environment. Since last December when I applied for the course at Lancaster Uni I was having a manic time. My parents and little brother were moving to Switzerland and everything was all in the air, my nan was in critical condition and I think I was just looking for my safe haven. Couple months down the line I've discovered that Advertising, marketing and PR and is my passion, I really have no idea what to do. Could I go through clearing? Or should I wait until I get into uni (if I get in)?

    You have three options:

Ask Lancaster ASAP if you can change course (do they have an advertising degree?), there is absolutely no guarantee they will agree to this but it's worth asking.

Decline your offers and go into clearing. If you do go into clearing then you should write a new personal statement, or at the very least come up with a list of reasons why you want to do this new subject.

    Re-apply next year.
