the range was given as between pi/2 and minus pi/2. the domain was plus or minus 1

Also part 2a is wrong, -4x^2-20=-4(x^2+5) so -4/x^2+5
thought u were wrong about 2a there is -4x^2+20 not -20

No you shouldnt drop any marks for that since they are the same value

Today's paper was definitely not as difficult as June 2013. The polls show that people thought last year's paper was slightly more difficult.

I'd guess similar boundaries to June 2014; A – 60, A* – 67.
I think people are mixed whether or not this paper was harder than last years. Last years did have a killer trig question, but did also have some easy questions wheras this year even the simple topics had fairly tricky questions (q5). It was also significantly longer and more of the questions required writing our lots of lines of working than last years paper. It did have a copy paste question but it was only worth 7 marks or so.

My guess is A - 58, A* - 65, 100 UMS - 73. If not 58 then 59 for the A.

2/tan2A +tanA
2(1-tan^A)/2tanA +tanA
(1-tan^2A+tan^2A)/tanA

Alternatively:
LHS = 2cos2A/sin2A + sinA/cosA
= 2cos2A/2sinAcosA + sinA/cosA
= (cos2A + sin^2A)/sinAcosA = (cos^2A - sin^2A + sin^2A)/sinAcosA
= (cos^2A)/sinAcosA = cotA

But it is right is t it the tan4x=3/4? Because after dividing by 4 I wasn't getting a value between pi/4 and pi/2 gosh I made some silly errors in that exam

no it didn't, it just wanted the answer which should be correct
