So over the past 2 years (2nd and 3rd year) i got 2:1 and 2:2 but i just recently failed one module - one exam which made me fail the module. So I'm wondering can i still get an overall classification of 2:1 or 2:2 even if I've failed one module?

Almost certainly yes. the only way to tell is to have a look at your marks and for you to get to grips with the rules specific to your university. They will tell you what happens, most likely you can ignore one module, but the only thing that matters is what the rules say.

Yes, I did. I failed a second year module and retook it in the third year, even with it being capped at 40% I still got a 2:1.
