I did a Btec national diploma alongside a NVQ both at level 3 but because its in Health and Social Care is it worth any points. I havent got my certificates for this and before spending £100 to get them i want to know if it will help me get on a university course. The same course in accounting is def worth ucas points but thats all ive found out. Thanks in advance for any help

Any level 3 is worth points but it depends on the university and the course if they consider the subject relevant.

On you UCAS application you are supposed to add all the things you were/are studying. So either way, if you're applying through UCAS you are supposed to put it down.

Courses like BTEC don't usually require for you to have the diploma as UCAS is usually sent the grades through the grading board of the course so you may not have to get the diploma. Although you really should have one. Did you never get one or did you just lose it?

I was on maternity leave when the certificates came though while the care home was being sold and new management being bought it. I have never received them and the new manager said she never had them!! I dont mind paying for them but ucas points seems to be for accounting but not listed for other subjects. Ive been accepted for Open university without it but theirs a university just over an hour away where i feel i would get the best education.

Have you tried calling the place where you got the BTEC? They might have it there. Either way, I'd recommend just calling the university and asking about it. That's the only way you'll know for sure because it depends on the uni if they consider it irrelevant or not.
