Please can someone help me establish a structure to this question. I am finding it so difficult to plan for it. I must be missing something somewhere, because I keep reading about the creation and formalities in creating the transfer of land but I can't find how to structure this question. Please someone help. My word limit is 2500 word.

Question:‘Formality is something which is added to the basic requirements of the law in relation to a particular transaction. It therefore creates a separate obstacle which must be surmounted if we are to enter the transaction. If we manage to get over this obstacle, we will have been put to extra trouble and cost ... ’P Critchley, ‘Taking Formalities Seriously,’ in S Bright & J Dewar (eds), Land Law – Themes and Perspectives (Oxford University Press 1998) 507, 520.

Critically analyse whether the advantages secured by formality requirements outweigh the ‘trouble and cost,’ and any other disadvantages, that they cause.
