We'll find out.

Good luck :P.
What's my reward for those solutions?

I'm pretty proud of those solutions... :frown:

And you.

And you.

Thanks, I know I've flopped though. I never revised, just hoping to change by September.

Lmao, never saw that.
How long did it take you to solve it and type it up?

Solved it in like 10 mins... Took another 30 to write it all up lol

Loool, this is why I hate writing up a lot of stuff on TSR. Latex helps with quadratics the most, the rest all horse square roots, fractions - I forgot how to write them and have to refer back lol so I just take pictures now .

Damn worth using the annoying Latex on these when you've done something you're proud of ;D

Not everyday I get to solve a nice 6th degree polynomial like that xD
True haha, can't disagree to that xD!

Did you get the solutions to the question I posted?

It's 10pm, I'm tired, and I really hate polynomials with degree n>3 so usually I'd tell you to go **** yourself... but I gave it a shot anyway with a nice long method, enjoy. =)

x=(3+8)13+2122x= -\frac{(3+\sqrt8)-\sqrt{13+\sqrt2\cdot12}}{2}

It was a specifically chosen function, 'symmetric' coefficients.

I noticed they were symmetric hence why I chose my method. Anything else and I would've struggled as I've never solved these high degree polynomials before. If there a faster way of solving them/different methods? Like using matrices or something?

Also I just noticed my other solution is not correct, so I think I'll just leave it at that.

Help me draw this please, lol I don't know how to do bearings. Can you just draw out the diagram - I'll work out the sides etc.
