A level applicant's chances for Ivy leagues.

    Hi everyone!
    So the question that how important are GCSE's and your A levels for US admissions has been bothering me for quite an awful lot of time now. I understand that it has to be straight A/A* throughout your high school but can other factors like ACT/SAT scores and extra curricular trump any of your lower grades (B and below). To give a rough idea, here are my stats

    GCSE 4A* 5A's 1B (really worried about the B here)
    A level (first year mocks--Only General paper is an AS in my course load) 1A* 2A 2B (really hate this)

    So do i have a shot at top colleges in the United States? Will appreciate if an enrolled student in the US (having studied the UK curriculum) could help
