you never know until we see the boundaries... we'll just have to hope for the best
3. I got 18 for lambda, can someone explain why that's wrong? I checked it thoroughly and I think I got the answer you put, or something quite similar. How many marks will i get for E.C.F?
4. (Original post by Mattematics)
Uuuh, I'd recommend looking at past questions and seeing what the marks are awarded for. If I had to guess you'd lose both for the costheta and perhaps get 1 or 2 ecf for the second part.
Ah okay. Because the value of costheta was 3 marks, and then the area of the triangle was 2 marks I believe, so I think I will get probs 1/3 for the costheta one due to attempting to apply a correct method, and maybe 2/2 for the area since I did use my value from the previous part? Is that reasonable do you think? Thanks

I guess one of the marks for the area will be accuracy (k = 2) so perhaps 1 for ecf.

So 2/5 for those 2 parts then?
7. so for the area of the triangle question - I got an answer of 24/5 but I had correct angle and the side lengths - will i get 2/3 marks or only 1/3
8. (Original post by GrandMasti)
So 2/5 for those 2 parts then?
That'd be my guess. As I said, I'd suggest looking at past mark schemes.

10. (Original post by BinaryJava)
Wasn't the radius 8 and the height 8 as well
it was 8 and 17/2 i think
11. for question 3a) is 4xy+2/-2x^2-4-PISINPIy the same as the awnser in the unofficial mark scheme?
12. how many marks 7b
13. (Original post by Mattematics)

cos(theta) was 4/5. Left it out by mistake.
How many marks for questions 6d and 8e ???
14. (Original post by chrishannon09)
wasn't lambda = 16? then it changed to 8 outside the integral when you did the second part?
I accidentally did this too. I forgot that inside the square root the 4's cancelled out and so I incorrectly took out a factor of 2 how many marks was 6C and 6D guys. Will we get marks for error carried forward if your methods were correct except this mistake?
15. Does anybody remember the exact vectors used for calculating cos(theta) I got 1/5 not 4/5 and want to see what i did wrong
Other than that I think I got full marks
16. (Original post by _newbe)
Is 63 in C3 and 73 in C4 enough to get an A* :/
should be but will be tight ngl
How many marks for questions 6d and 8e ???
8e was 5marks
18. (Original post by BinaryJava)

I'm sorry but the height wasn't 8... It was 17/2 which was the value of x found it part a.
