Working for a brokers/insurance company

Hi, has anyone ever had to file policy documents?

I'm starting a job in a brokers & have to do filing & some I.T. work & have never done anything like this before in my life. So am really nervous
:confused: :redface:

Really could do with some advice thanks.

Hi there,

When applying did you have a look at the job description?
also nobody here would know what you need to look for on these sheets, unless they are experienced in the field, what I suggest you do is ask someone in your firm, and confirm what you have to do you can ask something like this, "Just to confirm if im doing the right thing do I have to look at the numerical figures on the spreadsheet and make a list of these in Microsoft words docs correct me if im wrong but im slightly confused I just want to confirm " etc something around the border line.

Will you not get training?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Well the job description was only 2 lines long, it just said that I would be filing policy documents due to backlog & I will need to be competent at I.T., that's all it said. I've never done this type of work before, I worked in something completely different, so am really putting myself in the deep end. I am only working there as a temp, I hope that I do get some training otherwise I'll be lost, I won't have a clue! Will keep you posted on how it goes, :smile:
