how easy is it to get british citizenship if you've been living there for 3 years?

i'm a french citizen atm but since brexit's happened i feel like it'd be wise to get british citizenship instead... ive been living here 3 years, planning to go to university in england as well (which probably won't affect anything but...)

how easy would it be?

I believe you have to have lived here for over 5 years before you can apply for citizenship, see here

I know someone who was in the UK for 16 years before he finally got citizenship. I don't know why he took song long tbh
