Why are old people (65+) even allowed to vote

    I think you are seriously underestimating and falsely interpreting the voting percentage statistics of the country. Go and read the news and then make what you will of the real statistics and the percentage of votes for and against in each demographic, the whole country isn't TSR.

    Because they have the right to vote. Just cos they are old doesn't mean they don't matter. They have to live with the result too not just younger people.

    Perhaps because they've been around longest they know a lot about our country and its needs? They're also the biggest contributor to tax and have seen far more than you have.

    Sometimes I do wonder.

    p.s its a democracy, and that requires a vote for all.
