Why bother with a post grad course - waste of time? 17-10-2016

As the title says I'm applying for the HND course at my local college, when I left Sixth Form back in 2012, I didn't have the best grades in the world to say the least and I've been working in the same place since.

On the 22nd June, I went to the open day there and the head of the course helped my decision in choosing this course. The only problem is that I only have until the 30th to fill out the application to UCAS, as I never did this when I left school 4 years ago, I'm struggling to get it done.

I have done about 600 characters so far, mostly about my passion and love for wildlife and conservation. But as I've been in work, I haven't done any volunteer work for a conservation society or likewise organisations. Additionally my work is mostly manual labour (I suppose you could say it's unskilled) but it has given me a love to work outdoors and an appreciation of hard work.

    Thanks for any help.

Think about any transferable skills you've gained and how they'd help. You can also do some reading around the topics that will be taught. Work experience is not necessary if you can otherwise make a good case for wanting to study the subject.
