This thread makes me feel nostalgic. The sad thing about this is that I've basically forgotten all of statistics. Just goes to shoe that you learn things for the exam as opposed to educating yourself really.

If you are doing A level Maths (or already are) you should be doing it anyway.

One question. for spearman's rank, what happens if 3 values are the same. What is their rank?

Basically a computer will allow you to randomly generate numbers. From here you can from both genders (male and female) assign each number to each individual and take a proportional amount of people as a sample from each category and also it has to be random so it is representative. You'd keep selecting numbers until you have completed acquiring your sample. :smile:
