Is it natural for people with a highly valued degree from a top uni to look down on those completing an average degree at an average/low rated uni?

I find it annoying that people judge others (initially) based on their uni and degree.

It's the norm on tsr... It's really sad tbh :/

It is only annoying because most of their success is based on luck.

not only on TSR, but like people in real life just verbally destroy those for not going to a russel group uni. I've seen it happen quite a few times in my school. Very sad indeed.

Even if people do work hard and get into a top tier uni, I don't think that gives them an excuse to be arrogant. Personally, I think arrogance in general is such a filthy trait to have.
I agree that arrogance is an undesirable trait. But sometimes the competitive aspect is good because it encourages the underdog to succeed. The problems arises when either:
    >the comparative gap is too wide e.g. upper middle looking down on working class.
    >people looking down on others for their choices. E.g. there is nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home mother.

Unfortunately this is TSR and you often find the "arrogant angry young person complex" which is distasteful.
