Basically, I feel like I have this "commander" role in all my friendship groups. 90% of the time, I initiate the first conversation online but once we start, we usually end up exchanging a few messages, maybe 5-10+. Some of these I have been friends for 7-10 years, some only at uni (so 3-8 months) but even then, I am the one who starts the chat on Facebook or WhatsApp, even with my closest friends. I also a lot of the time end up organising stuff to do (an pint at the pub, or a game of tennis, or cinema, or a trip across the country etc), which a lot of the time their happy to do with me if they're free. However, if I stopped talking to them online, I doubt they'd say a word for weeks, or even months. Is this normal/common among friends? I've only just realised this but I feel I might be too talkative or annoying (maybe they're just replying out of courtesy) and am starting to feel a bit paranoid..
Always initiating the conversation...
