Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I've decided I want to go catered but I'm unsure on the Charles Morris system. I understand how it works but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it's decent or not? Because the accommodation there is so fab so I wanted to go there but I'm just abit unsure of how successful the catering is? I much prefer the Devonshire catering system as it is similar to other unis, but the location and accommodation just isn't as good there?

Students in Charles Morris Hall receive a ‘Refresh card Meal Plan Package’. You can use this to 'purchase' food 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 2pm at the weekend. Meals can be taken from the Refectory (next to the students union and very close to Charles Morris) and also Hugo (a coffee van cafe) at set meal times.

Your card can also be used like a regular 'Refresh Card' so you can top it up online and use this balance to buy meals, snacks and drinks from any University catering outlet on campus at anytime. This method offers you more flexibility in terms of what you eat and when, it also gives you the chance to socialise with students from outside your own hall. Remember that all of our catered residences also have kitchen facilities to enable you to make a snack or light meal. You can find out more about the 'Refresh card Meal Plan Package' on the University’s Catering Service website - Great Food at Leeds. There's at least one vegetarian option at each meal and when beef or pork dishes are on the menu an alternative is always made available. Unfortunately we're not able to serve Halal, kosher or vegan food; during Ramadan we can provide food for you to eat after sunset. If you have special dietary requirements (e.g. diabetes) or food allergies, we will try to help, but if you are very specific about the kind of food you like to eat, you may be more suited to self-catering accommodation.

You'll find details of the meal times online at: http://accommodation.leeds.ac.uk/info/200131/catered

    I hope that helps!
