In Year 13 at my school we have to do community involvement - one afternoon a week of volunteering. Some of the ideas they have recommended to us include volunteering as a classroom assistant at local schools, going to a nursing home, being a retail assistant at a charity shop or helping out archiving in a local National Trust Property.

What would be best for a dentistry (or medicine) application? I'm planning to apply to do dentistry and I'm stuck between going to a nursing home and being an assistant in a nursery/preschool. Which do you think would be better?

    Thanks in advance!
