Can someone explain to me this recent post hardcore/screamo bands popping up all over UK? I mean they're about 10 years late to the party and most of these kids can't scream properly anyway, but they're seems to be loads... Or am I missing something...?
I have no complaints about more post hardcore bands being around. :woo:

I wonder how many of you remember this song, proper old school metal this is.

Indeed, that's one of the reasons I love Maiden so much - although they do tours based on their early stuff (as they are now), they still release new albums regularly and heavily promote them. Playing all of A Matter of Life and Death in 2006 for example, with only 5 classic songs afterwards. That was ballsy, but impressive. (The fact I like their recent albums as much as their early ones helps too..)ot.
Yeah their new records are great, every time I listen to The Final Frontier I like it more.

I really hope they bring their Maiden England tour here.

Remember it like... Were born in the 70s?

It's a decent song, I wouldn't call it 'metal' though. Not for any dumbass elitist reasons, just... Deep Purple never really made anything that sounds more than hard rock to me.

As far as early metal goes you have bands like Black Sabbath, Venom, Pentagram, etc. that... Actually sound metal. DP just don't. And when that song came out thrash was well and truly established.

That would be awesome. This is their only really great release IMO.

Not expecting anything too great from BFMV. I thought their last album wasn't that great. It has some catchy songs, but it's a little too bland for more.

I dont mind BFMV, I know that they divide opinion but I like a few of their songs. Ill be seeing them in a few weeks with the Foo Fighters so hopefully they do some new material.

I enjoyed some of the stuff on Calculating Infinity but havent really listened to much else, whenever I think of listening to them I always go for the stuff that has Mike Patton on.

    WOW

    Northless ¦ Lightbearer - Split

This was incredible, crushing first half by Northless followed by an absolutely beautiful 20 minute piece by Lightbearer.

    Definitely recommend this.

    When Good Dogs....
In fact the whole EP is so good...they should have never have done it with him because he just ****s on everyone, I can't help but compare the EP to their other stuff. I am a big Patton fanboy, but this guy is really on another level.

I went to see P.I.L (Public Image Limited) last night in Manchester. Considering they're getting on a bit, the guys still put on a cracking gig. Johnny Rotten has definitely still got it! Anyone a fan of these, or indeed any other older punk bands?
