Hi, noticed there wasn't a thread for this. What answers did everyone get?

I seem to remember having all of them.

I can't remember whether it was z or t - if the variance was known however, it would have been z

they gave you the standard deviation so I think it was z

what 3.512 and 0.2242 the answer to? I dont remember those questions

that was 3.911
Just tidying up the answers and adding a couple more, these are what I got anyway:

1) 0.331
2) Sum = 30.48 so reject H0.
3i) [0.0584, 0.262]
ii) [217, 231]
4) t = 1.9686 so reject H0.
5i) a = 9, b = 7
ii) variance = 15.0
6i) Z = 0.224 so accept H0.
ii) n = 14,586
7i) Show a = 12/31 or something.
ii) E(X) = 1.53
iii) didn't save my expected frequencies but ended up with 3.512 so accept H0.
8i) Something along the lines of 120aπ\frac{1}{20\sqrt{a\pi}} for 0 < a < 400pi?
ii) 0.707
