What a sad state of affairs. Reduced to dealing with a load of no-hopers and agitating for other European populists to hold referenda so they impoverish their countries too. Support for not having a referendum and for voting to remain in any such referendum is up in other Eurosceptic countries like Denmark, just as it is in polls of people here.

I've actually been thinking that same but one with better controls and emergency mechanisms for things like freedom of movement and one that doesn't force countries to sacrifice sovereignty unless voluntarily.

The problem is the EU will block it for other EU nations so it wont be an immediate replacement for the EU.

You might be on to something IF France, Sweden, The Netherlands and Italy end up exiting. Too many members leaving would open that as opportunity. However, I think the EU will try its hardest to force others to stay. Time will tell. I personally think France will be next once Hollande is gone.
France wont leave. They and Germany will rule Europe.
