    I'm an international student, had to learn English as, you know, was going to study here. My advice is definitely to just go for it. I would say accent is not that important, languages are about communication, and if you can get your point across, that's successful communication isn't it? Do you ever make fun of English learners not having perfect accent? I hope not, and that would be how the native speakers would feel too They'll give you credit for having the courage to learn something new.

    Pronunciation will come with more effort @ OP
