I was going through a book called 200 Puzzling Problems; link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4II...t?pref=2&pli=1 and I stumbled on the first question.

I can find the time taken and distance travelled but equation of path is very challenging. I also went through the solution presented on the book but didn't get it. Could anyone explain it to me, please?

Can't help you but this is a great book. Thank you

Yes, it is a great book. Only problem is that, I can't answer a single question on my own.
