Why does everyone try and follow major sporting events to copy others?

For example, the European Championships (football) and Wimbledon (tennis) are currently in progress and people are trying to ruin our sports by playing them and causing trouble in public places.

The tennis courts at my local social club are packed and everything. It's disgusting. On social media, I see girls (don't want to be sexist) who are more into makeup and stuff, posting unnecessary things like "what a shot by Murray" or "I love CR7" with some emoticon.

Yes, heaven forbid that our nation get into sports. :facepalm2:

They can like what they want, regardless of your opinion.
