I'm doing a week of work experience next week and I don't know what to wear, they said smart casual but no jeans so I don't know what type of clothes to wear. Could I wear leggings and converse? Also I don't know what I'll need to take with me or if I need to take anything at all
    Thanks for the help

Where will it be? Dental practice? Lawyer firm? etc.

It's going to be at a primary school

Leggings and converse don't really count as smart casual. If you're working in a primary school, I'd suggest trousers or a skirt of an appropriate length with a nice top. If they've said no jeans, then definitely no leggings. Don't wear trainers, either. Stick to shoes, maybe boots. Think about what teaching assistants would wear.
