Why bother with a post grad course - waste of time? 17-10-2016

    Hi all.

I was just hoping for some advice from people hat may have more of an idea on this sort of thing than me. I have always been interested in studying computer science at university and then heading into either information security or AI, I'm really quite good with computers having built my first computer age 11 and have been coding as a hobby since age 14. I returned to the UK from Spain 3 years ago with no qualifications and have since been working towards getting the qualifications I need to go to university. I had to do BTEC's as A levels were out of the question with the qualifications I had at the time. I have since obtained a L2 BTEC in IT at D* and have just finished my first year of my BTEC L3 in IT at D*D*.

Over the past year I have developed a very keen interest in politics and law, more so than before when I was already quite clued up for my age, I was wondering if a university such as York would accept me on the BTEC's that I have, providing I do get the D*D*D* at the end of the next academic year (which I am on course for).

Also, what sort of job prospects are there for someone who studies PPE? It seems like a very broad degree that doesn't have a clear route of progression after uni. I'd appreciate any help and advice!
