I'm starting a new LSU Societies thread for 2016 (the 2014 and 2015 threads are still available, but be aware that some of the information there may be out of date. Please do NOT revive these threads, post your queries to this one).
Hopefully you've got the places you wanted and you will be joining us in the new academic year. If you have any questions about extracurricular activities at Loughborough, this is the place to ask! We will know more about Student Union Societies at Loughborough, but should be able to help answer any other questions you might have, as well.
My name is Chris and I'm helping to represent ...Fever, the circus skills and fire performance society at Loughborough. However, I personally have had links to a number of other societies and have a few years' experience of uni life, so ask away!
Other ...Fever members who you may see responding to your queries are Luke, our new Members' Representative and Carlie, who is our society Chair. You might also see representatives from the University and other clubs and societies responding as we get the ball rolling.
If you want to know more, but aren't sure what to ask, a good place to start is by telling us what you're passionate about. We'll point you in the direction of something relevant to you.
Check under the divider for updates and important information!
~ Chris ~
Check back here for more information as it is released!
***NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS***SU stands for Students' Union. The Sections of the SU are Societies, Media, RAG (charity fundraising), Action (volunteering), Welfare & Diversity and the AU (Athletics Union). In general, AU Clubs cover competitive sports while SU Societies cover other interests. If you want to do sport recreationally there are ways to do that, too!
