    M'kay, so here's what happened:

A few months ago I went to the bank to create a student bank account. I created the account but they said they the machine was playing up and couldn't do it but didn't know why. They said they'd phone me the next day. They phoned me the next day and said the reason the machine couldn't create it was because they can't do student account until the 1st of July. So, instead I got an ordinary current account and they told me to go back then to change it to a student account.

When I do this what happens? I.e. What do I need to bring, will they change my card, will they change my PIN, etc?

I'm guessing you'd go to the bank and ask to change to a student account, you might have to book an appointment or something, I did when I was setting up my account. I needed proof I was a student and I used the conformation letter you get from UCAS which confirms your place at the uni.

I'm currently in the process of changing over.

I'm not sure what's the process for you, but I'm with Barclays.

This is what they're asking me to bring, hope this helps.
