Tesco interview successful being placed on hold

I had my interview at my local Tesco store few weeks ago and it was successful but during that time i wasn't available for the induction and the store said that they will keep my files for the next round of recruitment, But I have rang the store today to see if there is progression and they told me now that I have been placed on hold for the vacancies to be available which they said it can couple of weeks to be available .Has anyone else had successful interview and then been told that they been place on hold for upcoming vacancies?

All it means is that when the next job is available you will go through the recruitment process again

The person on the phone has told me that they will ring me back once there is a position available and said that i have been shortlisted on file as they will go though the people on the shortlists
