    1) Identify the organic products formed when 2-methylcyclohexanol undergoes dehydration .

    2) A compound with formula Cn H2n +2 O when fully oxidised forms a compound CnH2n+1 O
    CnH2n+2 O is likely to be :-
    a ) primary alcohol
    b) secondary alcohol
    c) an aldehyde
    d) a ketone

    Please HELP !!

    The first one it's 3 methyl cyclohexene, dehydrate it to remove OH group from one carbon and H from the other. For the second it's likely to be a primary alcohol, because it forms a carbxylic acid as well as an aldehyde, consider revising as this is quite basic.
